Set Up Technician Job Summary
We are looking for a Set Up Technician to operate our injection molding machines. In this role, you provide technical support and perform preventative maintenance to help us produce plastic parts at a high standard of quality. In addition to cleaning and inspecting mold components before changing them out, you troubleshoot machine issues during production. This role requires from technical training, so applicants must have 1-2 years of experience working with plastic injection molding. All applicants must be able to pass a drug test.
Set Up Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Set Molds into molding machine
• Change in-press mold inserts
• Clean mold components
• Inspect components for damage
• Troubleshoot machine issues
• Set and configure robotics to remove plastic fittings from mold
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Set Up Technician Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Completion of a technical certificate program or on-the-job training
• Experience with plastic injection molding (1-2 years)
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Forklift experience a plus
• Technical skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
